Urge Your Senators to Support Children, Youth, and Families In COVID Relief Legislation
Take one minute to urge your U.S. Senators to cosponsor the Emergency Family Stabilization Act, S. 220, and help families and youth in need.
Children, youth, and families experiencing homelessness have been facing increasing barriers to their survival since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their high mobility, and staying in crowded living situations puts them at heightened risk of contracting and transmitting the coronavirus, predation, trafficking, etc. In response, a bipartisan group of U.S. Representatives and Senators introduced the Emergency Family Stabilization Act.
- This legislation provides direct funding to community organizations and local educational agencies who serve children, youth, and families in need, as well as survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and trafficking.
- By helping people experiencing homelessness as early as possible, we can reduce the spread of COVID-19 and protect children and families from compounding trauma.
- To pass this critical legislation, your leaders need to hear from YOU.
Take a minute to urge your U.S. Senators to cosponsor this critical piece of legislation, and support its inclusion in the next COVID relief package.
